We have owned, shown, and bred dogs successfully for over 44years. In 2013 we decided that as so many people asked us to care for their dogs while they were away, we would sell our lovely Manawatu home and buy boarding kennels.
Our main criteria was that it had to be good enough that we would leave our own beloved Dobermanns there. After over a year of searching for an establishment that met our standards of security, safety, and with a home that had potential to develop, we found Kapiti Kennels and decided that it ticked all the right boxes.
We strive to provide a well staffed, safe, and secure environment with the highest quality food for your dogs stay with us.

Our cairn terrier, Chutney has stayed at Kapiti Kennels for a good period of time over the past year and always comes out from the Kennels feeling happy and energetic. Casper came home without his voice . . . . a clear sign he had a lot to say when he was with his friends. Thank you for the environment where Casper can mix with his friends when we are away. Thank you for giving him his requested nail trim. Always happy to leave him in your care. He will return when next we travel.
